  Nova-Flo™, the flood prevention device, is the brainchild of inventor and entrepreneur James Barnham of About Time Design LTD.
Whilst Nova-Flo™ was still in its development phase, James Barnham, and his business partner, Ian Sillett, turned down offers of investment from Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis, Richard Farleigh and Deborah Meaden when they appeared on the BBC Show Dragons' Den.
Turning down the Dragons proved a smart move. Alternative investment was sourced and Nova-Flo™ was successfully launched in 2008.
The company has already won many awards including 'Best Innovation in Building Services 2007', 'Lambeth Innovation Award 2008' and the British Plastic Federation's Highly Commended Certificate in the 2008 Horners Award for Plastics Design and Innovation 2008'.
