Affordable Design Blogger Awards 2013 – The Results

Our overall winner (and representative from the Crafts category) who received the most votes across the competition is ‘Lazy Daisy Jones’. Daisy describes her profile as “A ‘Mid-Century’ retro-vintage loving, scatty Mama, who will forever be a girl at heart….and loves to crochet and sew”. The judges (and public) were captivated by Daisy’s eye for timeless, affordable design. With a blog that’s only been active for a year, we think Daisy is curating a fabulously quirky trend and we’re proud to award her our badge and a gift of £500.

Judges Notes:
In our first year of running an award for bloggers, we hoped we’d see one or two that shined. We were looking for citizen journalists who had their own style but also appreciated and highlighted others. In the resulting entries we were thrilled to see that every single finalist shone as a notable designer/curator in their own right and that the tips, ideas and guides they offered would help anyone in the UK on their own Affordable Design journey. Thank you to everyone who took part, voted and chatted with us on our social media channels throughout the competition. You should all be extremely proud and we’re so thankful to be getting to know you.
