Makeovers:

Small, smart & stylish

One of our loyal trade customers Peter Whiter, who owns Feather Edge – a multi-skilled company focusing predominantly on painting and decorating, was given the task of updating his clients bathroom from beneath the floorboards.

Peter’s customer wanted a complete overhaul, this included – a new bathroom suite, tiles, underfloor heating, concealing pipework, adding down lights with an extractor, insulating walls, re-plumbing, re-plastering. This overhaul was spurred by the original tiles coming away from the walls.

Peter turned his attention from painting and decorating to bathrooms and took to refurbishing this 1930s three-bed semi.

‘ The products are very well thought out and of the highest quality. Which makes all of my customers happy…’

To arrange the layout of the suite, Peter has several discussions with his customer to discuss her options, once sorted he supplied a detailed itinerary and began work. Choosing Bathrooms.com to source the bathroom suite, Peter said: “the products are very well thought out and of the highest quality – which makes my customer extremely happy.”

‘ …tiles were coming away from the walls and needed replacing so the customer decided to completely refurbish the whole room.’
Since being recommended to our site by a previous customer, Peter was so impressed with the quality and service he says he never needs to look anywhere else. Peter was dedicated to this makeover from day one: “every refurbishment has its own challenges but this is something I look forward to.” The main challenge with this particular project was redesigning the new layout. The original waste pipes were exposed above floor level and needed to be relocated under the floor.

Working with his customer Peter has created a luxury bathroom on a small budget. The choice of suite creates an effective spa-like minimalist feel, which is complemented by the downlights and their reflection on the tiles. Working with a relatively small space – Peter has designed the layout to maximise the space in this bathroom, and it works. This 1930s three-bed semi now has a luxury space where the homeowners can come home, lie back, relax and unwind at the end of a stressful day.
